Victory was able to speak to Austin over at Paddle Surf Hawaii. A place that thrives on the SUP world and the world of surfing. A place with the technology to craft the best possible boards. A place with very knowledgeable people in the industry to direct you with your every need. . Your gonna have to check out their website at www.paddlesurfhawaii.com to really understand their passion for SUP and surfing, and their desire to educate all on the best possible product.

A couple years back Austin was surfing with a few friends in the North Shore. He was complaining about how his rashguard as feeling like it was chaffing his skin. His friend was wearing a Victory rashguard and told him it was the best material he has worn to date. Austin had seen plenty ads for Victory and have seen team riders wearing them but never looked into Victory until that friend recommended it. He was sold with the recommendation from the friend.

When asked the question….How does the Koredry work for you…he replied,” It’s hard to describe. It just feels unreal! The Koredry keeps the water repelled off my skin underneath and the material is super smooth and light that it feels like there’s no restraint at all while I am surfing. I feel free and loose and like I’m not wearing anything. Its just super comfortable.

Austin explained that the Koredry shirts are selling like crazy. He says the Koredry works for every water sport. Austin personally uses it to Surf, Paddle, and when he’s out diving for fish. His personal favorite is the mens short sleeve Koredry lycra. He also raves about the loosefit. These cover every type of weather he needs to tackle. He explains that his life is basically dictated by the ocean.

When Stand up Paddle Hawaii started printing their logos on the Victory Koredry shirts, they were stoked, as well as the many customer in Hawaii. They have the best of all worlds….great advertisement on the most technical shirt in the industry. Everyone from the end user up is really happy.

We keep hearing about more and more believers in the industry. Big solid companies and the smaller ones selling mored and more each day. And all the people in and out of the water all over the world, enjoying their water sport even more because they are wearing the Koredry technology.

Ten teams started at noon on Saturday through the midnight “Graveyard Shift” hours to noon Sunday where each team had to have a surfer in the water every hour on the end to post their best single score with the twenty-four scores per team accumulated to determine the inaugural SURF 24 Champion.

After twenty-three hours, two teams were still contention, Billabong and Firewire, where the fresh surfing of Billabong’s Evan Thompson was too much for Firewire’s event MVP Jessie Heilmann with the Hurley team a distant third.

All members of the championship received engraved Nixon gold watches as Champions of SURF 24, along with “Surf 24 Celebrity Hour Champ” Norman Ollestad, “SURF 24 SUP Hour Champ” Chuck Patterson and event “SURF 24 MVP” Jessie Heilmann.

The event raised $50,000.00 for environmental causes with funds being distributed to Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay and the Inside the Outdoors Foundation.

Victory supplied the Flow tour with KoreDry Surf Shirts and Rash Guards. The Wave Loch FLOW Tour has divisions for bodyboarders and flowboarders, men and women, boys and girls, amateur and professional, young and old. For the past ten years, the Tour has inspired an ever-expanding level of competition among bodyboarders and flowboarders around the United States – and it all comes to a head on the Wave Loch FLOW Tour.

The 2010 US Flow Tour began on April 24th in Waterville, AL and, with 16 stops across the nation, is shaping up to be the largest of the series to date. As the biggest national FlowRiding tour in the world, the US tour sets the standard in every way. From the number of competitors and tour stops to the cash and prizes up for grabs, nothing in flowboarding is bigger than this. Single A rated events will be giving out $1000 in cash in the Expert divisions while Double A events will be shelling out $2500. The finals prize will be $5,000 cash.

A new addition to the Flow Tour in 2010 will be the advancement of the top flowriders to the World FlowRiding Championships (WFC) at Wave House Sentosa on November 4, 2010. The US FLOW Tour winners (overall top male flowboarder, female flowboarder and bodyboarder) will win a trip to Singapore to represent the US and compete against other regional teams, including Asia and Europe. The top 2 male flowboarders, top female flowboarder and top bodyboarder of the WFC will form the World FlowRider Champions Team and will compete in the International FLOW Championships (IFC) against the International Wave House Teams. The IFC will take place at Wave House Sentosa on November 5-7, 2010.

Airfare + Accommodation for the WFC

* Wave Loch will pay for the USA FLOW Tour winners airfare and accommodations
* All other WFC regions will be responsible to pay for their team’s airfare and hotel accommodations.
* Wave House Singapore will host meals and non alcoholic beverages for the WFC and IFC competitors.

2010: The Biggest Flow Tour in the World

US Flow Tour 2010The 2010 US Flow Tour is set to kick off soon and is shaping up to be the lrgest of the series to date. As the biggest national flowboard tour in the world, the US tour sets the standard in every way. From the number of competitors and tour stops to the cash and prizes up for grabs, nothing in flowboarding is bigger than this. Single A rated events will be giving out $1000 in cash in the Expert divisions while Double A events will be shelling out $2500. The nationals will be for even more.

In total, over $25000 in cash and prizes will be awarded over the length of the tour.

One of last year’s champions Sean Silveira will be under pressure to defend his title but he’s not stressed, rather looking forward to the coming contest schedule.
“I ‘m looking to hit up all the AA’s this year! I’m looking most forward to the Virginia, Utah, Waterville and Wave House!”

Suffering a badly broken ankle shortly after the IFC last year has hampered Sean’s chances of practicing and locking in any new tricks, but with lots of rehab and physio he’s confident he’s back to 100%. “I’ve been doing a lot of physical therapy and I’m ready for the tour!” He told us earlier this week. “I haven’t really been working on anything new because of the setback I had this year. My biggest threat would have to be every competitor on the tour because of my lack of riding but I definitely don’t want them to underestimate me. I hope that this year we all have a fun time doing what we love to do and meet a lot of people.”

With Sean leaving a potential opening for someone else to take an early lead in the tour competition will be fierce as the best in the country scrap for every point they can get. We may all be friends but there’s only room for one champion at the top.

If you have any queries email flowtour@wavehouse.com.

I use it for fishing in the Sierras or the South Pacific. The stuff works and it works great. It keeps you at a very comfortable temperature level, and it's also very durable.

I got a 5 fish stringer totaling 21.5lbs. I ended up with a 7lber, 5lber, 3.5lber, 3.5lber, and a 2.5lber. Sorry about the half flash shot. I forgot that I unlocked my wader clips.
Here’s how it works:

There’s two types of six teams (a total 12) – brand teams such as Billabong and Hurley, and also recreational teams. Each group paid $2,400 to compete – or $100 an hour – meaning this segment of the fund-raising effort raises nearly $30,000 alone.

Each team puts one surfer in the water, on the hour. Each surfer competing gets their best one-wave score out of 10 possible waves, Townend explains.

The dozen surfers in the water during each heat will have numbers 1 through 12 to be identified, with each team keeping the same numbers through the contest.

At the end of the 24-hour period at noon on Sunday, the team with the best 24 scores becomes the Surf 24 champion. There will also be an award for the MVP, the surfer who gets the best score.

There are a couple of twists and notable things happening that you might not want to miss.

At 1 p.m. on the first day, there’s a celebrity heat. Names will be put in a hat to be drawn the previous night at Shorebreak Hotel and allocated to various teams.

The Hollywood stars coming to town are people you wouldn’t even expect to surf. Here’s some name droppin’ for you: Sam Trammell (cute, wolfy bartender on True Blood), Sean Patrick Flanery (one of the crazy Irish bros on cult-classic Boondock Saints), Chad Lowe (24 – Jack Bauer would rock this contest!), and Brandon Boyd (lead singer of Incubus). There are about 30 celebs coming down from Hollywood.

Then, there’s the surf stars – many of the recognizable names from around here in Orange County. There are people such as Fuel’s Matt Beacham, longboarder and model Mary Osborne, local well-known Laguna surfers James Pribram and Jon Rose, and PacSun USA Surf Team’s Courtney Conlogue. Co-host along with Townend is his old friend and surfing rival Shaun Tomson, who shared the screen with him in Bustin’ Down the Door.

“We’re mixing the surf world and the entertainment world to gain some platform space to spur people to take action,” Frederick said.

Besides all this crazy surf action, there will be a ton of other things happening: Nearly 40 eco-village booths, six bands playing, and a showing on Saturday night at 8 p.m. at the Pier Plaza grassy area of the classic ‘80s flick North Shore, with appearances from some of the cast and producers.

Yes fellas, Nia Peeples is expected to show.

Because of curfew laws, spectators won’t be able to watch the surf contest through the night, except for a select few wearing special green wristbands.

But you can show up early on Sunday. At 8 a.m., there will be a beach breakfast for $6.If you’re around, join a beach clean up to be held by Surfrider. Then come back to the pier from 10 to 11 a.m. when Stand Up Paddlers will be put on various teams to compete. Closing ceremonies go down at noon.

Funds from Project Save Our Surf go toward: Inside the Outdoor Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, and Heal the Bay.

Even if you are not competing, you can help raise money. There will be products on sale at the event, or go to projectsaveoursurf.org, with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward the non-profit.

FORMAT:
